Exhibitions
Opportunity to exhibit your work at our two public exhibitions. A 'members only’ exhibition is held in September in the Town Hall and you can exhibit four pieces of your art (charges apply to cover costs). In March each year we run the art exhibition which is part of the Cambridge Autumn Festival. Prestigious artists from all around New Zealand send their art here to display it in our Town Hall along with our own local artists and it is an honour to be part of this event that makes good sales.
Art in the Park
Our location on Thornton Road in a parklike setting is the perfect spot to display our work on easels and tables under the trees and in our clubhouse which we set up like a gallery. Our artists can work outside and engage the public in conversations about their art and share their passion and sell their work.
Discounted workshop access
We run a variety of workshops during the year with professional teachers. There is a charge for these but our members are given a discount and preference for access.
Private Facebook group access
Join our Facebook community to connect with fellow members to share ideas, discussions and information about things of interest. “Cambridge Art Society NZ” is a closed Facebook Group and you apply to join once you are a member of our Society.
WiFi is available in The Painting Place.
We have a YouTube sign in which is set up to give you access to a large number of art subscriptions. Please note the log in details are on the whiteboard.
Annual Christmas picnic
This is held outside under the trees to celebrate the year behind us and the year ahead.
Committee
We have a very active committee and welcome your ideas and contributions. Let us know if you would like to be on the committee.
Constitution
We are an Incorporated Society and as such have a Constitution which governs how we run our club. We hold an AGM at the beginning of each year where new members are elected.
