Conditions of Entry

1. The registration fee is $35 per artist. Please pay this by 16th March 2025 to the Cambridge Art Society 03 1568 0041379 00 Reference CAFAE25 and your name.

Commission is 30% inc gst. There is a maximum of two works per artist. Please price your work to include the commission and courier fees. There is a minimum sale price of $100.

A rough way to work out what to charge retail is to multiply the amount you want eg: $400 by 1.45 which gives you an asking price of $580 which covers the commission.

2. All work must be original, and not to have been exhibited in this exhibition previously.

3. Works must be ready to be hung with D screws and string in place. Also a swing tag with name of artist, title & price which can be hung over the front of the piece (for curator’s use in hanging)  No wet paint

4. Triptych and diptychs are considered to be one work and must be able to be hung as one piece. MAXIMUM SIZE OF WORK IS 1.5sqm

5. Hanging and positioning of work is at the sole discretion of the Curator.

6. All media is acceptable but where a photograph has been used and then enhanced with paint this must be clearly stated. 

7. Insurance of your work is the responsibility of the artist. The Cambridge Society of Arts will take very good care of your work but cannot be held responsible for theft or damage.

8. Delivery (including return) of works is the responsibility of the artist. If you are couriering your work, courier tickets for return of your work must be inside with your entry. Your packaging must be such that it can be used to return your items. (We have developed a system to store and re-use your packaging for your work).

9. Address for couriering your work is: C/- Lynn Waters, 34 Watkins Road, Cambridge 3434. Please have the work couriered to Lynn prior to 25th March.

10. If delivering your work by hand they should be delivered to the Cambridge Town Hall, Victoria Street entrance on Thursday 27th March between 9am and 10.30am. Please take away your packaging. 

Unsold works to be collected on Sunday 30th March between 3.45pm –4.30pm. Please sign them out at the reception desk. Items that need to be couriered will be organised in the week following.

11. The Festival and Exhibition will be opened by the Waipa Mayor at a Preview Function in the Town Hall between 5.30pm and 7pm on Thursday 27th March which is open to the public and discerning buyers. It is then open on Friday and Saturday 28th/29th of March from 9.30am to 4.30pm and on Sunday 30th March from 9.30am to 3.30pm.

12. There will be three People’s Choice Awards.
